Our cottage is the perfect bolt-hole for the whole family. Sleeping up to six people in three double beds, we can accommodate you and your family, not to mention your four-legged friends.

Our cottage is ideally located for exploring the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline, including beaches such as Whitesands, Abereiddy, Abercastle, and Abermawr, to name just a few!

Locale

Trefin is a charming coastal village in the heart of Pembrokeshire, Wales, offering a delightful blend of natural beauty and local amenities. Cwmheldeg Cottage, situated just a 3-minute walk from The Ship Inn—a cozy, dog-friendly pub—provides visitors with the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. 

The cottage is just a few minutes' walk from the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path, making it an ideal base for coastal walks, but if it's the beach you're after, you'll be spoilt for choice. Located just a short walk from the stunning Aberfelin Bay, Trefin offers easy access to some of the region's most beautiful beaches, including Abereiddy, known for its striking Blue Lagoon, just 3 miles away, and the expansive sandy shores of Whitesands Bay, about a 15-minute drive. Looking further afield, the beaches of Newport and Newgale are as impressive as they are beautiful (and accessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs etc.). If you want to stay closer to home, there are a number of hidden gems to explore such as Traeth Llyfn, Abercastle, or Abermawr.

Trefin benefits from a small craft shop and tea room, perfect for grabbing an ice cream or a piece of cake on your way too or from the beach. The village is also serviced by a local bus, offering convenient access to the nearby towns of St David's and Fishguard (both approx. 10 minutes). Trefin is just 2.4 miles away from the historic village of Porthgain with the award winning fish and chip bistro, The Shed. Porthgain is also home to 2 art galleries, a ice-cream and gift shop, and the ever popular pub, The Sloop.
